 BES MISSION & BELIEFS
The mission of Bowdon Elementary School is to provide a safe, stimulating environment, which will educate and nurture the whole child, in order to develop productive learners for today and tomorrow.
 Our School Beliefs
  1. Students, Our Top Priority

Learning is a developmental, student-centered process. The intellectual, physical, social, and emotional needs of students must be the foundation of the school’s program.

  2. Teachers, A Vehicle of Learning

Teachers must utilize various strategies to address students’ needs. Effective collaborative leadership is essential to ensure that all faculty and staff members reach their highest potential.

  3. Students and Teachers as Learners

Each student and teacher is unique and must be given the opportunity to be successful and to become a life-long learner.

  4. School, Parents, and Community as Collaborators

Our faculty, parents, and community must be collaboratively involved in the education of our children.

  5. A Safe, Non-threatening, and Nurturing Environment

All persons must be provided a safe, non-threatening, nurturing environment and must be treated with respect.

 Our Vision

We envision a school in which children, teachers, parents, and the community:

  • Maintain a safe and secure school environment.
  • Respect the rights and differences of others.
  • Reach their highest potential by seeking new challenges.
  • Achieve unlimited possibilities through education.
  • Adapt to an ever-changing world.
 Our Creed

As a member of the BES community:

  • I respect myself, others, and my school.
  • I am responsible for my own work, words, and behavior.
  • I do my best every day, in all things.
  • I display a positive attitude.
  • I work to keep our school safe, clean, and happy.
  • I know that my future is a result of my choices.
  • I choose to have a great day and be successful in all of my endeavors.
