Hi!  My name is Gina Powell, and I am so excited to be a part of the staff at Bowdon Elementary as a kindergarten teacher. I have taught kindergarten for 7 years and pre-k for 1 year.  I attended Bowdon Schools growing up and graduated from BHS in 1991.  I earned my Bachelor's and Master's Degrees in Early Childhood Education from the University of West Georgia. 

I have been married to my husband Eric for 29 years.  We are the proud parents of Nathan (24), Carter (21), Ellen (18), and Stewart (16), and our first child, Emily, who is our special angel in heaven. 

Kindergarten is my favorite grade because I love seeing the excitement children have when they learn at this age, and I enjoy seeing the world through their eyes!
